Sheala Henke

Born and raised in the foothills of the Colorado Rocky Mountains, and local CSU alumni, SHEALA DAWN HENKE wears the many sorting hats of a fulfilling life. When she’s not ‘cracking’ the dawn at 4:30 a.m. to tackle her daily word count, or ‘river-ratting’ on the local waterways, she teaches at a local elementary school. A veteran educator, with nearly twenty years in the trenches, she wields her ‘not-so-supernatural’ powers developing long-lasting relationships with young readers and aspiring writers. Sheala is a connoisseur of the enigmatic sciences and passionate advocate of breaking through barriers that shape the human experience. Longtime member associate with the Northern Colorado Writers Association and honored 2016 title winner recipient of the Jerry Eckert Scholarship for philanthropic writers, she is a hybrid published author of her debut YA Climate Fiction series, IDEA33 and the new release of her Literary Fantasy novel, Story Bends. Sheala and her husband and two children thrive in Fort Collins, Colorado.
