Joshua Sbicca

JOSHUA SBICCA is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Colorado State University. His research focuses on the drivers and outcomes of contentious food politics, especially urban food system change amid social inequalities. Underlying this interest is an ongoing engagement with the practice of food justice and what this means for building broad based social movements. As an educator, he teaches classes on food systems, social inequality, and social change. Beyond these professional engagements, he also participates in local and national food movements that strive for environmental and social justice. His new book, Food Justice Now!: Deepening the Roots of Social Struggle was published in 2018.
