Carolyn Collins Petersen

CAROLYN COLLINS PETERSEN is a Colorado-based science writer who specializes in astronomy and space-science topics. Carolyn began writing astronomy- and space-related books in the 1990s. Her latest, Space Exploration: Past, Present, Future, was released in the UK November 2017, and is now available worldwide. Her popular book Astronomy 101: From the Sun and Mon to Wormholes and Warp Drive, Key Theories, Discoveries, and Facts about the Universe is in its sixth edition, published by Adams Media, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Carolyn is currently writing a new astronomy book, due out from Amberley Press in late 2019.

Carolyn is CEO of Loch Ness Productions, which produces and distributes fulldome video and works with science centers and planetarium facilities. She has written 50+ documentary scripts for domes and online streaming. Carolyn is also a prolific exhibit writer and has worked on projects for Griffith Observatory in Los Angeles, the NASA/Jet Propulsion Laboratory, and the California Academy of Sciences.
