Andy Caldwell

ANDY CALDWELL is the Director of the Stargazer Observatory and a full-time astronomy and geology member at Front Range Community College-Larimer Campus. He conducts open house nights for Stargazer and Sunlight Peak Observatories. Prior to coming to the Larimer campus, he taught high school science in Castle Rock for 13 years. He wrote a Master’s Thesis on possible meteorite craters in Colorado and organized meteorite searches and field trips for the DMNS. The connections he made between meteorite research and teaching allowed him to become a member of the 2002/2003 Antarctic Search for Meteorites (ANSMET) team. Andy spent two months on “the ice” collecting with his team over 600 meteorites.
