Walking & Writing Place

Walking field trip along the Poudre River. Writers have long practiced walking as a way to think, as well as a technique to get both outside and inside of one’s own thoughts and experiences. Walking also can help us to pay attention to the intricacies and layers of place. Join Michael McLane, an environmental historian-poet – for a generative walk from Block One Events to the CSU Powerhouse. He’ll briefly introduce his own practices in relation to walking and place, and then share some prompts to attune the group to the encounters on our walk. Dress appropriately for the outdoors.
