Announcing the Food for Thought: Community Recipes Collection Project

What would a food-themed book festival be without a cookbook or two?

Help us create a local “digital cookbook” by submitting your original recipes and family favorites to the Food for Thought Community Recipes Collection. We promise not to tell Mom that you shared her secret ingredients! We’re interested in everything from appetizers to entrees, from drinks to desserts!

Does your recipe have a great family story that goes with it? We’d love to know that, too.

To learn more about the project and to submit your original recipes, visit our online submission portal. Submissions close September 8, 2019.

Collected recipes and stories will be put into an online anthology that will be available for free to the public via the Poudre River Public Library District’s Biblioboard platform.

Book Fest Receives Community Grants for 2019 Event

Fort Collins Book Fest is proud to receive support for this year’s book festival from the City of Fort Collins Fort Fund, Bohemian Foundation’s Community Event Fund Grant and from Front Range Community College Foundation. Their generous funding allows us to continue to offer the annual community event free for attendees and to feature prominent authors and speakers.

All three organizations also sponsored last year’s event, The Big Think, which allowed us to host noted authors like Andy Weir and Kimiko Hahn.

2019 FoCo Book Fest Focuses on Food

It’s “Food for Thought” at this year’s Fort Collins Book Festival

The 2019 festival is a literary feast for the foodie in all of us! We celebrate the pleasures of the palate, catch up on gastronomic zeitgeists, and examine the future of food.

The free, two-day event features local and national authors, food visionaries, and culinary experts who are not afraid to challenge the way we think about food and our food systems.

Mark your calendar for Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19, and stay tuned for announcements and updates about headliners, authors, and festival activities.
